Nelum Pokuna Mahinda Rajapaksh Theater is the largest performing arts theater is sri Lanka. The theater is located on the site of the old Nomands stadium in colombo. The construction cost was provided by the Republic of china at a cost of RS.3000 million. sri Lanka and china signed an agreement on August 30,2005 for the construction. This was created by the chinese Institute of Architectural studies. The main auditorium has 1288 seats and the main stage is electrically powered. Finished in 4 parts that can be moved up and down. There are 2 main auditoriums that can play up to 3 concerts or plays simultaneously. The height here is 29m. A special feature is that the open stage adjacent to the stairs at the entrance to the building can also be used for concerts. The main stage is illuminated by 500 light bulbs using a unique lighting control system. The lake of our village.

The lake is one of the most beautiful places in our village. The lake is very big. The tank supplies water to our village. The paddy field of the village are harvested from the water of the lake. Also, water is obtained from this tank for our water consumption. A water treatment plant is located ner the lake. People come to the lake Bathing, doing laundry. Kids have fun playing water sports. Some are also involved in the fishing industry. people from other areas also come to bathe in the lake. There are lotus flowers on the side of the lake. During the raing season the water in the lake spills. Even though the water level in the lake decreases during the dry season, water is still available for human consumption.Water sports are also held on the lake during the year. The beutiful lake does a great service to the village.

Peradeniya Botanic Gardens..

The Royal Botanic Gardens, Peradeniya is considered to be the main botanical garden in Sri Lanka. Its land acres is about 147 acres. Located near the Mahaweli River. It is located 5.5km west of Kandy, off the Colombo- Kandy main road. peradeniya receives an annual rainfall of 200 days out of 365 days of the year. The landscaping for a botanical garden was done in 1821 by Alexander Mung. In 1912 its ownership passed to the Department of Agriculture. Ancient plants can be seen here and the first tea plant in Sri Lanka was planted in this garden. The English built this park to spend their leisure time freely. The garden is famous for its orchid species. There are more than 4000 plant species. About 2 million foreign tourists visit here annually.

King Parakramabahu i. or Parakramabahu the Great, ruled Sri Lanka from his throne in plonnaruwa. during what was known as Sri Lanka's golden era, economically, due to the unparalleled prosperity that he brought to the country. He was the son of Manabharana, the ruler of Dakkhinadesa and was instructed by chosen teachers in language and literature, religion, statecraft the bearing of arms, sport dance and music. It is said that he was visibly ambitious even at the early age of 14 or 15,and would go on to develop the agricultural resources of his territory by putting in place a number of irrigation projects. Trade was established with foreign countries during his rule and precious stones were exported. He is famously quoted for saying "not even a drop of water that comes from the rain must flow into the ocean without being made useful to man".

One day we picked up a little bird from the road. It is a hairy bird. It was badly injured. It did not grow feathers. There were ants on its body. We cleared the ants. Then we looked at where its nest. But the nest has not where. Then we took it home. We put medicine on it body and gave it food. It was very hungry. Then we made a place for it. It's a little nest. It slept well in it. We putit in a safe place. We feed the it every dat. Now it has grown its feathers grow.Now, It is a member of our family. Someday when it grows up it will go to it's society.

The longest glass bridge in the world.

The longest glass-bottomed bridge in central China is another masterpiece of man.The bridge connects two precipitous mountains known as the Avatar Mountains. It is 430m long and 6m wide. The bridge is 300m above ground level. The bridge cost 3.4 million to build. The bridge is made of 99 pieces of transparent glass and consists of 3 floors. Tourists now have the opportunity to photograph areas 300m deep from the bridge. This amazing glass bridge was designed by Israeli architect Heim Dorton. He has set a world record for design and construction. This magnificent passenger glass bridge holds the world record for the longest and tallest glass bridge in the world.
